VOLUNTEER AT THE THRIFT SHOP

This winter weather has been absolutely crazy this year as you all know. The 'snowcrete' has made life miserable and given us all quite a headache. The AFOSC Thrift Shop has been feeling the strain as well - and we are urgently seeking your help next week.

Due to the snow and hazardous conditions, the Thrift Shop has been unable to accept donations from the community. Without new donations, we cannot sell items to our community to help raise funds for our Welfare Grants Program. We really need to bring in new donations to keep our cycle of giving going.

Starting next week, we will begin accepting donations - but using a modified procedure - and this is where we need your help! We will collect donations through a designated donation coordinator (one of our employees) only through our front door. We are expecting to get a large influx of donations because of our temporary pause. And as some of you may know, this could be a tight squeeze and a bottle-neck entering/exiting the store. We really could use a couple of extra hands each day to help our coordinator shift donations to the back of the store for processing.

Full shifts are not required, any spare time you can give will be greatly appreciated!
